They Want #Flexibility

As researchers we don’t often say these words, but, “you already know the answer to this question.”

A new Washington Post poll show that employees want flexible and hybrid work arrangements.

The poll found that 60% of U.S. office workers are currently working from home all or most of the time. And even as employers ramp up calls for workers to return to the office, 78% of employees say it’s important to them to have at least some ability to work from home.

• 47% said they want to work from home 3-4 days per week. This points to a disconnect between what employees want and what managers are requiring right now.
